Hearing this, the younger sister was overcome with regret. She realized her mistake and sincerely asked the sage for a remedy.

Soon, her prayers were answered and she gave birth to a son. However, fate tested her once again. After a few days, the child stopped breathing and appeared lifeless.

The grief-stricken mother felt as though her world had collapsed. Yet she remembered the sage's words and did not lose faith.

Believing that the spiritual merit earned by her elder sister's unwavering devotion was immense, she gently placed the child's body on a wooden seat and covered him with a cloth. She then invited her elder sister to her home.

When the elder sister arrived, the younger sister respectfully requested, "Sister, please sit here."

As the elder sister was about to sit, the edge of her sari touched the child lying beneath the cloth. At that very moment, the child began to cry.

The elder sister was startled and immediately stepped back. Seeing the child alive, she was amazed.

The younger sister then revealed everything. With tears in her eyes, she said, "This child was lifeless. It is the power of your devotion and the merit of the Sharad Purnima Vrat that has brought him back to life."

News of this miracle quickly spread throughout the town. When the king heard about the incident, he ordered the story to be announced across the kingdom so that everyone could learn the importance of observing the Sharad Purnima Vrat properly.

From that day onward, people began observing the Sharad Purnima Fast with greater devotion and discipline. It is believed that those who listen to the Sharad Purnima Vrat Katha and observe the vrat with a pure heart receive happiness, prosperity, family well-being, and divine blessings.
